 Title - Ad Placement.
.
Ad Placement here is focused on placing ads with Craigslist.  These same principles can be used with other platforms.
.
There are various places that ads can be places, such as the following list that will grow as viable outlets are found:
♦  Craigslist
♦  KSL (Utah region)
♦  Kijiji (Canadian region)
♦  Backpage
♦  Others

Craigslist Ad Placement
Craigslist is the broadest viewed ad community that is free.
.
.
Craigslist Community And Purpose
Craigslist was not designed for a commercial purpose and commercial purposes are still not desired. Craigslist has a social purpose with the intent to help individuals connect for some work, light jobs or gigs, share information, garage sale type activities, etc. They frown on a commercial entity overwhelming the system with business money and ads.
.
Given the more individual and social orientation of Craigslist, rather than a commercial purpose, Craigslist and its “posting police” will watch and eliminate ads they feel are too commercial, not consistent or beneficial to the individuals using the site, etc. The “posting police” alone chose what they feel is acceptable and what is not acceptable. As such, a perfectly good ad and offering my be seen by others as unacceptable and the ad will quickly disappear.
.
The way to succeed on Craigslist is to be as individual and social feeling as possible, with limited business positioning and tone. This shows up in limiting the ads posted each day, some language used, etc. As you use Craigslist you will learn how they police as much business sense out of the platorm as they can. Craigslist can be difficult, but with persistence, and learning from your experience it can be a very successful ad platform and can provide more leads than you can manage.
.
.
General Guidelines
Because Craigslist is so accessible, it is tightly watched and controlled. The following will be important to have your ads be effective:
♦  Do not place more than two ads a day.
♦  It may even be good to place ads every other day.  One day place Craigslist ads and the next day place ads in another free portal.
♦  Once you place the ad then click on the link in the verification email as many as 15 times to show the ad has interest in the community, as far as Craigslist computers are concerned.
♦  If you have any difficulty with Craigslist then call and let’s work through it.

Main Page And City Selection
The main page of Craigslist provides access to various functions.
.
My Account – This will take you to a list of ads that have been placed and their status.
.
Select A City – One of the best ways to select a city or region to advertise is to go to the far right column and click on “US States.”  Select the state of interest with the city of interest.  Click on the state and a window will open with the available cities for the state. Click on the city of interest.
.
Post To Classifieds – This allows for the placement of an ad.
.
Other – There are other functions available here, but the above are the primary ad placement functions.

Clicking on the upper left (CL) icon will take one back to a main screen. Good to do another task or to find oneself back to a familiar screen.

Ad Choice – Ad Type Selection
Below is the ad type selection panel. Chose the type of ad to be placed.
.
Consider the following:
Job Offered – The best ads to place, but now cost between $7 and $75 per ad. Avoid these for now and look for areas of free ads.
Gig Offered – Free, with a couple of relevant sub-groups to which to advertise.
For Sale By Owner – Free, with 3 or 4 sub-groups to which to advertise.
Services Offered – Free with some opportunities to consider.
Community – Free, with some opportunities to consider.
Event / Class – Free, with some ad group opportunities to consider.

Post Panel – Job Offered Example
We are suggesting not to use the Job Offered section, but we may in the future. This is a general example of the ad posting panel and associated fields.
.
Consider the following general guidelines:
Posting Title – THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF THE AD. This is what catches the readers attention. Unless they find interest in the ad by the subject or title, then the ad is worthless. An honest and creative title is important. Craigslist places some limits on the title such as possibly: limited capital letters, limited symbols, etc.
Specific Location – Suggest “Your Home.”
Postal Code – The zip code of where the ad will be placed.
Posting Body – The content of the ad. Here are a couple of creative things that can be done to make the ad more interesting:
Bold –             Original statement – Company Funded Account.
Underlined statement – <b>Company Funded Account</b>
Underline –    Original statement – Company Funded Account.
Underlined statement – <u>Company Funded Account</u>
Italic –            Original statement – Company Funded Account.
Underlined statement – <I>Company Funded Account</i>
Size –             Original statement – Company Funded Account.
Underlined statement – <H2>Company Funded Account</H2>
(use H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, etc.)

.
Posting Details –  Mark as indicated or as is rational.
Compensation – You can use different forms and amounts of compensation. Consider the following:
1099 – A sophisticated way of saying it is commission based independent contractor role.
$250 – $450 – A modest amount that should not scare anyone off, but may not be enough for the bigger players. Placing a range will tell Craigslist this is not a W2 or job position.
$649 – An average income of the group and even experienced by me.
$200 – $1,000+ – A higher range that will invite more confident and higher expectation clients.
Use other truthful examples of income.  Do not base it on your expectation, but what is real and possible.
Company Name – Trade Company Money
Contact Info – Mark phone and text. You are welcome to use my phone number and name. I recommend you use your phone number and name so that if they call instead of responding by email, you will be able to get their name, phone number, email, and state in which they reside before anyone else contacts them. We want to give you proper credit.  In the first call, all you want to do is have them go to the Intro Video and watch that video and the Details Video. There is no need to get into a big discussion and answering many questions.
Show On Maps – Do not show on the map.  We are a national company that is internet based, not located in a brick and mortar building.
.
.
Post Panel – For Sale By Owner Example
It is observed that the panel and fields are very similar to that described above. All Craigslist panels are very similar.
.
Use the descriptions above and any that follow below for this and other Craigslist panel and field formats.
.
CL - Ad Fields For Sale 1CL - Ad Fields For Sale 2
.
Price – $100. This is the cost of the Live Lite Demo Trial. Keep this field at $100 or less.
Posting Details – Sometimes the fields do not apply, as in this case. If you can skip them then do so.
Contact Info – If you can use the Trade Company Money email assigned to you then do so. In this case Craigslist really does want the use of their computer generated email. As in this case then allow that to happen. Mark phone and text. As stated earlier, but placed here for emphasis, you are welcome to use my phone number and name.

Images
Images do spice up the ad and they easily load into the ad. Trade Company Money has developed two or three images that can be used in the ad.
.
How to handle:
♦  Existing Images – If you want to use the existing images then ask for the files to be emailed to you.
♦  New / Altered Images – Current images can be changed or altered, just let us know.
♦  No Images – New images can be created. If you have ideas, then let us know.

Paid Ads
For paid ads there will be a payment or credit screen that follow, such as this show below. The screen also provides a likeness of how the ad will appear.
.
Upon clicking “Publish” Craigslist will show a screen to add credit or debit card information. Where the account operates by credits, that screen will be presented as well. In either case, simply complete the payment information and click forward.

CL - Publish
.
.
Verify And Solidify
Once the ad is published, Craigslist requires verification of the ad. Open the email from Craigslist and click on the often blue hyperlink. This verifies and opens the ad.
.
Craigslist posts ads that show value. Value is indicated by how many people view the ad. Artificially create that interest recognized by the computer by clicking on the link 15 or so times. Opening the ad 15 or so times will show the computer the ad is important to the Craigslist community.
.
CL - Ad Verification.
At this point you are done with posting the ad
.
.
Calls, Texts, and Emails
The next important action is to respond to the calls, texts, and emails as quickly as you can. The objective of a reply is to have the respondent and Live Demo Trial prospect to see the first and second video. Afterwards the objective is to have them enroll in the Live Lite Demo Trial which will usually lead to tuition upgrade training.
.

.
Other Ad Placement Platforms
This webpage currently focuses on ad placement with Craigslist. Other ad placement platforms will be added in time. In the mean time use the learnings from what is provided here to assist in any independent identification and use of other ad placement platforms.
.
.
.
Summary
The company is having record months in enrolling day trade prospects in the Live Lite Demo Trial as well as upgrades into tuition training. The path to success in converting ads into Demo enrollments and training upgrades is consistent activity.
.
As the sales cycle is between 3 and 5 weeks you will need to persist for at least that period of time to usually see your first upgrade to tuition training and a commission. Simply consistently and regularly place ads, as well as take and make calls and texts and you will find more people interested in this service than you can imagine and probably handle. Be persistent, consistent, and diligent and you will be rewarded for your efforts.
